ARISE Magazine presents the fifth Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week (NYFW) runway show, entitled African Icons, which will take place at 3pm on September 6 at the Lincoln Center.

The first NYFW show in 2009 saw Grace Jones walk alongside models Liya Kebede, Alek Wek, Lara Stone, Tyson Beckford and Behati Prinsloo, wearing creations by XULY Bët, Stoned Cherrie, Tiffany Amber and Momo. This year five African designers are set to show their collections: Gavin Rajah, Maki Oh, Ozwald Boateng, Tiffany Amber and Tsemaye Binitie.
