Originally a designer of beautifully hand crafted jewellery and handbags, fashion brand, Sunny Rose branched out and debut their first collection yesterday at the MTN Lagos Fashion and Design Week. In what was a brilliantly executed first attempt at designing clothes for women, the collection entitled “Falcon Eye” raised the standard for the evening. Creative Director, Maureen Ikem explained her aim was to design “ready to wear pieces that are still stunning and eye catching”. And that she definitely achieved. With intricate embellishments placed on custom-made tribal prints and carefully appliqued leather pieces, the 70′s inspired collection was a beautiful fantasy of feminine pieces to behold.
